The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) is currently recruiting for an Investigator to join her team in Hamilton.

The PIRC holds responsibility for reviewing the way that all police bodies operating in Scotland handle complaints from the public and for investigating certain matters involving the police.

As an Investigator reporting to a Deputy Senior Investigator, you will be a member of a team carrying out independent investigations into the most significant incidents concerning the delivery of policing in Scotland.

The successful candidate must have proven experience of evidence collection, analysis and presentation with well-developed critical thinking skills, a capacity to conduct criminal, death and serious injury enquiries, obtain information and use sound judgement to reach conclusions. This experience may have been gained within organisations other than the police service.

This is an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic self-motivated individuals to join the PIRC as the organisation develops.

The position is based in Hamilton and the successful candidates must undergo vetting and Scottish Government Security Clearance (SC) prior to appointment.
