PIRC Investigation: Commissioner launches investigation into allegations regarding Police Scotland Chief Constable

The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner is carrying out an investigation into allegations regarding the Chief Constable of Police Scotland which if proved, would amount to gross misconduct.

The matter was referred to the PIRC by the Scottish Police Authority (SPA).

The Commissioner will submit a report in due course to the SPA containing a summary of the evidence and the investigator's opinion on whether the allegation should be referred to a misconduct hearing.
