PIRC Investigation: Commissioner launches new investigation into gross misconduct allegations about Police Scotland Chief Constable

The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner is carrying out a new investigation into allegations about the Chief Constable of Police Scotland which, if proved, would amount to gross misconduct.

The matter was referred to the PIRC by the Scottish Police Authority (SPA).

The Commissioner will submit a report in due course to the SPA containing a summary of evidence and the investigator's opinion on whether the allegation should be referred to a misconduct hearing.
