Commissioner launches audit of how SPA handles complaints about senior police officers


The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) has launched an audit of how the Scottish Police Authority (SPA) handles complaints about senior police officers.

The Commissioner has a statutory duty to ensure that the SPA maintains suitable arrangements for the handling of complaints for officers of the rank of Assistant Chief Constable (ACC) and above.
