Commissioner submits report to Crown Office relating to death of 42-year-old man

An investigation into the circumstances leading up to the discovery of the body of a 42-year-old man has been submitted to the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS).

Peter Ritchie was found near the village of Kippen, Stirlingshire, on Monday 30 January 2017.

The investigation focused on the actions of Police Scotland when responding to telephone calls made by members of the public and family on Sunday 29 January 2017 and Monday 30 January 2017.

A report on the Commissioner's findings is now being considered by the COPFS.
