Commissioner submits report following allegation of criminal conduct against serving Police Officer


The Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) was instructed by the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) to carry out an investigation into an allegation of criminal conduct against a serving Police Scotland officer.

A spokeswoman for the PIRC said:

"The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) instructed the Police Investigations & Review Commissioner (PIRC) to investigate an allegation of criminal conduct, including criminal neglect of duty, against an officer serving with Police Scotland.

"A report on the Commissioner's findings has now been submitted to COPFS."
